Founded in 1996, Afghan Coalition emerged from a vision to strengthen Afghan families and build a united Afghan-American community. Based in Fremont, CA, this 501(c)(3) charitable organization has grown to become the largest Afghan-American organization in the United States, serving as a beacon of hope and support for immigrant families navigating life in a new country. What began as a grassroots effort has evolved into a comprehensive community organization that understands the profound challenges faced by Afghan immigrants, particularly women and children adjusting to American life.
At the heart of Afghan Coalition's mission is the belief that every family deserves access to the resources and support systems necessary for success. The organization's bilingual and bicultural advocates don't simply provide services—they build relationships and foster understanding between community members and the broader social service landscape. Working from the Family Resource Center in Fremont, California, these dedicated professionals bridge the language and cultural gaps that often prevent families from accessing critical resources.
