Established in 2004 by the Arab-American Fund of Georgia, Inc., Alif Institute serves the Atlanta, GA community as a mission-driven cultural organization rooted in Arab arts and language. Operating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit since 1986, the organization is guided by core values emphasizing the importance of language in cultural appreciation and the transformative power of the arts as a medium for self-expression, cultural identity exploration, and critical thinking development. Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture recognizes that culture is dynamic and continuously evolving, shaped by diverse influences rather than static traditions. The organization's commitment centers on growing Arab American civic inclusion and empowerment by bringing together and celebrating the diverse Arab American community while expanding language arts offerings and resources.
