Since establishing its presence in the Greater Hartford Area more than 50 years ago, Alliance Française de Hartford has served as Hartford, CT's premier non-profit organization dedicated to promoting French language and culture while fostering friendship and understanding with the French-speaking world. Part of a prestigious international movement founded in Paris in 1883, the Hartford chapter embodies the Alliance Française's enduring mission of cultural exchange and linguistic education. The organization goes beyond traditional language instruction to create meaningful community connections through diverse programming, from intimate coffee and conversation gatherings to signature cultural celebrations like the annual Beaujolais Nouveau evening. Alliance Française de Hartford demonstrates its commitment to nurturing promising students through scholarship awards and maintains strong partnerships with organizations including La Renaissance Française, USA and the American Association of Teachers of French.
