Founded in 1990 at San Diego State University, Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority Inc. was created by a visionary group of Latina women who recognized the need for an organization dedicated to uniting and supporting women from diverse backgrounds. Today, the Xi Chapter at the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign carries forward this legacy of empowerment and sisterhood in Champaign, Illinois.
The Xi Chapter, established in 2012, represents a community of women deeply committed to academic achievement, personal development, and professional success. Members find in Alpha Pi Sigma more than a Greek organization—they discover a family bound by shared values, mutual respect, and genuine care for one another's wellbeing.
