About American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Central Ohio
The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) is the largest national ethnic medical organization in the United States and represents the voice of nearly 60,000 physicians and 17,500 medical students.
The Central Ohio chapter of AAPI serves the over 7,500 MSRF and practicing physicians of Indian origin in the Central Ohio Area. Our leadership team is a group of local CO-based second-generation physicians with several years of leadership experience in other medical institutions.
We strive to serve as a platform to assist Indian American physicians to excel in patient care, teaching and research; to pursue their aspirations in professional and community affairs; to be innovative thinkers and health care leaders; and to increasingly participate in healthcare policy initiatives.
Our vision is to promote professional solidarity in the pursuit of excellence in patient care, teaching and research, bring to American medicine the distinctive contributions from India, and advance the American creed of one nation under God, indivisible and with liberty and justice for all. We are an affiliated organization of the national American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPIO)
AAPICO is a forum to facilitate and enable Indian American Physicians to excel in patient care, teaching, and research and to pursue their aspirations in professional and community affairs.
