About Armenian National Committee of Australia
Based in Willoughby, New South Wales, the Armenian National Committee of Australia represents the heart of Armenian-Australian community advocacy and cultural preservation. As the largest and most influential Armenian-Australian grassroots organization, ANC-AU has built its mission on three core objectives: fostering public awareness in support of a free, united and independent Armenia; representing the collective Armenian-Australian viewpoint on matters affecting their community; and serving as a vital bridge between Armenian-Australians and their elected officials. The organization's strength lies in its extensive network of community partnerships, directly supporting 36 member organizations spanning cultural, educational, sporting, and relief sectors. These include cultural societies, educational institutions, youth federations, relief organizations, and community centers that form the backbone of Armenian-Australian life. ANC-AU's commitment extends beyond advocacy to encompass community development, offering scholarships, voter engagement programs, and cultural initiatives that strengthen Armenian-Australian identity and participation in Australian society. The organization maintains regional presence across Sydney and Melbourne, ensuring that Armenian-Australians in all areas have access to representation and community resources. Through its dedication to advancing the concerns of the Armenian-Australian community while promoting awareness of Armenian heritage and contemporary issues, ANC-AU embodies the values of community solidarity, cultural pride, and civic engagement that define the Armenian-Australian experience.
