About Armenian Youth Federation Juniors
Serving the Glendale, CA community and beyond, Armenian Youth Federation Juniors is a grassroots organization dedicated to connecting young Armenian-Americans with their heritage and each other. Designed specifically for children ages 8 to 16, AYF Juniors (formerly known as Badanegan) creates a transformative space where youth explore their Armenian identity while building meaningful friendships with peers who share similar backgrounds and values. The organization extends the core mission of the Armenian Youth Federation by fostering pride in Armenian culture, history, and political awareness among the next generation.
At its heart, AYF Juniors is about community and belonging. Under the close mentorship of veteran ARF and AYF members, young Armenians engage in discussions about critical issues facing their community while simultaneously celebrating their cultural heritage through educational and social programs. Members develop knowledge and passion for Armenian history and contemporary events, gaining perspective on their place within the broader Armenian-American community. The organization provides more than programming—it offers a supportive environment where youth cultivate confidence, discipline, and the organizational skills needed to become effective leaders and community contributors.
