About Atlanta's Network of Young Arab Americans
Atlanta's Network of Young Arab Americans emerged from a genuine community need when a young Arab-American professional who grew up in the Middle East relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Despite finding fellow Arab-Americans with similar backgrounds in the city, she discovered that existing organizations did not adequately serve the interests of college students and young professionals like herself. This realization led to the founding of ANYAA in 2013, creating what members affectionately call a "home away from home" for Arab-Americans building their lives in Atlanta.
Today, ANYAA operates as a welcoming community space where Arab-Americans can build lasting friendships, develop professional networks, and create family-like bonds with others who share their cultural heritage. The organization's commitment to being non-political and non-religious ensures that members from diverse backgrounds and beliefs feel equally valued and included. Through regular social events, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer opportunities throughout Atlanta, ANYAA members engage with both their cultural community and the broader Atlanta area. The organization's founding principle—that young Arab-Americans deserve a dedicated space to connect authentically with peers—continues to guide its mission today. ANYAA represents more than just a networking organization; it embodies a commitment to helping young Arab-Americans thrive personally and professionally while maintaining meaningful connections to their cultural identity in Georgia.
