B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation
About B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation
B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation emerged from the collaborative vision of philanthropists Kimberly Miles and Monica Coburn in 2015 to transform how Las Vegas, Nevada responds to the needs of girls and young women affected by abuse, abandonment, neglect, and exploitation. Operating as a volunteer-sustained organization, SHERO Foundation builds community by connecting individuals who believe no child should be a victim of trafficking. The foundation's mission centers on providing resources that support, sustain, and empower vulnerable young women while creating a network of informed and engaged citizens committed to preventing future exploitation. What sets SHERO Foundation apart in the Las Vegas community is its dual commitment to survivor support and prevention education. The organization recognizes that risk factors such as childhood sexual abuse, poverty, homelessness, and unstable environments create vulnerability to trafficking, and it intentionally focuses resources on prevention programs targeting at-risk populations. SHERO Foundation's volunteer-driven model reflects its grassroots values, with team members ranging from executive advisors to teen board members all contributing to the mission. The organization has built meaningful partnerships with other nonprofits, creating a collaborative ecosystem that amplifies resources and expertise. Through events, volunteer opportunities, and community engagement, SHERO Foundation invites Las Vegas residents to join a movement rooted in the belief that every person has worth and deserves to be loved, valued, and empowered. The foundation's ultimate vision is a world where equality, opportunity, and justice are available to all humanity.
