For over 38 years, the Bengali Association of Greater Atlanta (BAGA) has been a cornerstone of cultural identity and community support for Bengali and Indian-American families throughout Alpharetta, GA and the Southeastern United States. As a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) organization, BAGA creates an environment of mutual goodwill and understanding between immigrant Bengalis and other local and regional organizations, fostering meaningful connections that strengthen the entire community.

At its heart, BAGA's mission centers on ensuring and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Indian-Americans, particularly through religious, cultural, and educational activities that keep traditions alive for new generations. The organization understands that immigrant communities thrive when they have spaces to celebrate their identity while building bridges with their neighbors. BAGA accomplishes this through diverse programming—from the vibrant BAGA Cultural Club that showcases Bengali artistry and intellectual contributions, to the BAGA Youth Club that nurtures leadership and service-oriented values in young people, to the BAGA Sports Committee that builds wellness and camaraderie through shared activities.

Beyond cultural celebration, BAGA is deeply committed to charitable and humanitarian work. The organization organizes fundraising efforts and provides direct assistance to those in need, reflecting the values of compassion and community responsibility that define the Bengali diaspora. Operating as a non-political organization with deep roots in the Alpharetta, GA area, BAGA serves as the voice and representative of Bengalis in the local community.
