Beyond the Pain: Black Women Navigating Fibroids, Treatment, & Advocacy
About Beyond the Pain: Black Women Navigating Fibroids, Treatment, & Advocacy
Join Marsha Badger, Founder of Introvert N the City, Ayanna Dutton-Diaz, Co-Founder of Non-Corporate Girls, and Yasmeen Duncan, CEO of The Sisterhood Society for Women of Color, for a powerful and necessary conversation centering the experiences of Black women living with fibroids.
This intimate panel will explore the physical, emotional, and systemic impact of uterine fibroids—an issue that disproportionately affects Black women and continues to be under-discussed in healthcare spaces.
Providing expert insight is Dr. Renita F. White, MD, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and featured voice on The Honey Pot Pulse Panel. Dr. White will share compassionate, evidence-based guidance on why fibroids are so prevalent among Black women, current treatment options, and how to advocate for yourself within a medical system that often overlooks our pain.
From personal stories to practical tools, this conversation offers space for truth, sisterhood, and collective healing. Together, we’ll challenge the silence, speak our truths, and reclaim our right to informed, affirming care.
Because when Black women speak up, healing begins.
