The Black College Invitational Championship (BCIC) began as a dream envisioned by our founder and CEO, Dr. Wes Bellamy — a vision to spotlight the excellence, culture, and competitive legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Now entering its second year, BCIC is back and bigger than ever, bringing the electrifying energy of HBCU basketball. This exciting and historic tournament features elite men’s and women’s basketball programs from both NCAA Division I and Division II, representing the four major HBCU conferences. Teams will compete for the prestigious title of Black College Basketball Champion, all while showcasing the undeniable talent, pride, and spirit that define HBCU athletics. More than just a basketball event, BCIC serves as a vibrant cultural celebration — promoting the heritage, unity, and excellence of Black colleges and giving back to the institutions that have shaped generations. Join us as we make history, celebrate legacy, and ignite what we pride in our HBCU's.
