Afro-American Chamber Music Society Orchestra
The internationally acclaimed Afro-American Chamber Music Society Orchestra performs and records works by contemporary and historic composers of the African diaspora. Its research arm orchestrates and publishes works from manuscripts found at archives internationally for live performances. Since its inception in 1990, AACMSO has performed throughout the world for exhibits, festivals and conferences. AACMSO has been featured in an interview with Pulitzer Prize Winner, George Walker entitled "Concise and Precise" performing Walker's "Lyric for Strings" on New Music Box. Radio appearances include KUSC Radio, WQXR Radio, and BBC Radio in London. AACMSO's Sancho arrangements have been performed by the London Symphony and also archived in the British Library.
