About 100 Black Men of Omaha, Inc.
Since 1995, 100 Black Men of Omaha, Inc. has served as a vehicle for positive change in the Omaha, Nebraska community, born from the vision of concerned men who recognized that community survival depends on collective action and shared commitment. As part of the nationally recognized 100 Black Men of America mentoring organization, the Omaha chapter brings together diverse professionals—including community leaders, business executives, physicians, attorneys, entrepreneurs, and educators—united by a mission to improve quality of life and help youth become respectful, responsible, and ready to lead. The organization's foundation rests on four core precepts: respect for family, spirituality, justice, and integrity. These values drive the chapter's "Four For The Future" initiatives focusing on mentoring, education, economic development, and health and wellness. What distinguishes 100 Black Men of Omaha is the genuine, volunteer-driven approach embodied in their motto "Real Men Giving Real Time." Members and volunteers have built a sustainable system that creates meaningful foundations for youth and community success. The organization recognizes that not all young people have equal access to privilege, opportunities, or positive social networks, and works to bridge that gap by providing comprehensive support to help African-American youth actualize their dreams. Operating from the heart of Omaha, the chapter continues the tradition of African-American men giving back and building stronger communities for future generations.
