The AAMBC Inc. (African Americans on the Move Book Club) organization, founded by Tamika Newhouse, has carved a remarkable path in the literary world, championing African American authors and their works since its inception. Established in the early 2000s, AAMBC Inc. emerged as a visionary response to the underrepresentation of African American literature and authors in mainstream literary circles. At AAMBC, our mission is to celebrate, promote, and elevate African American literature and the voices of Black authors. We are dedicated to fostering a thriving literary community that not only values the rich contributions of Black writers but also champions their stories, experiences, and diverse perspectives. Through initiatives like book drives that build libraries in underserved communities and writing workshops that foster literacy, creativity, and self-esteem, AAMBC empowers individuals to express themselves and share their unique narratives.
