Based in Denver, CO, Blacks In Technology Foundation is a non-profit organization on a mission to 'stomp the divide' between Black tech workers and the broader technology industry. For over a decade, the organization has worked to fundamentally influence change in an industry that has historically lacked parity with respect to Black workers and representation. Recognizing that Black professionals often find themselves as the only Black person in their department or on their team—and that Black people comprise only 3% of employees in top Silicon Valley tech companies—the foundation is committed to leveling the playing field through comprehensive training, education, networking, and mentorship opportunities. The organization's leadership team, comprised of directors with lifelong careers in technology and education, operates on core tenets of trust and transparency. Blacks In Technology Denver serves as part of the largest global community of Black technologists, providing members with resources, guidance, and opportunities to advance their careers while contributing their expertise to the industry. Through community-focused activities, events, outreach initiatives, and the flagship BITCON conference, the foundation creates spaces where Black professionals and allies collaborate to drive innovation and visibility.
