California Portuguese-American Coalition
About California Portuguese-American Coalition
Founded in March 2016 by a dedicated group of Portuguese-American community leaders, the California Portuguese-American Coalition (CPAC) emerged from a recognized need to increase political advocacy and involvement within the Portuguese-American community. Headquartered in Turlock, CA, this nonprofit organization represents a grassroots movement to unite and empower Portuguese-Americans across the state. CPAC's mission centers on bringing together elected officials and civic leaders to facilitate stronger collaboration in advancing the interests of their respective communities. What distinguishes CPAC is its commitment to encouraging Portuguese-Americans to step into leadership roles and serve their communities with greater visibility and influence. Governed entirely by volunteer board members and supported by partners throughout the Portuguese-American community, CPAC embodies the collaborative spirit and civic values that define Portuguese-American culture. The organization recognizes that when community leaders work together strategically, they can address shared challenges more effectively and create lasting positive change. CPAC's work extends beyond advocacy to include fostering relationships and building networks among Portuguese-American professionals, elected officials, and community members who share a commitment to strengthening their communities. With support from the Luso-American Development Foundation and other community partners, CPAC has established itself as a trusted voice for Portuguese-American interests in California's political and civic landscape. For individuals in Turlock and across California with Portuguese-American heritage who want to connect with community leaders, stay informed on relevant issues, or contribute their voice to meaningful advocacy efforts, CPAC provides an inclusive, values-driven community.
