Since its establishment in 1945, the Canadian Federation of University Women St. John's has served as a vital community hub for women throughout St. John's, NL who are committed to education, personal growth, and social change. The chapter brings together approximately 100 women from diverse educational backgrounds—including university graduates, post-secondary graduates, students, and associate members—who share a vision of advancing women's rights and educational opportunities. Members gather regularly for learning, enjoyment, and meaningful friendship while actively advocating for the rights of women and children in their community and beyond. The St. John's club distinguishes itself through its deep commitment to local scholarship support, directing substantial annual funding toward women's post-secondary education at regional institutions.
