About Chinese American Association of Central Florida
Since its founding in 1969, the Chinese American Association of Central Florida has served as a cornerstone of cultural preservation and community connection in Orlando, FL. As a nonprofit organization, CAACF is driven by the mission to promote Chinese language education and celebrate Chinese culture throughout the Central Florida region. The organization was built by dedicated community members who recognized the importance of maintaining cultural heritage while building bridges within the broader Orlando community. The establishment of the Chinese School in 1980 marked a significant milestone, followed by the creation of The Dance Troupe that same year, demonstrating CAACF's commitment to multifaceted cultural programming. In 2010, the organization expanded its reach by launching C.H.A.R.G.E., a dragon boat team that brought together Asian-American residents around shared interests in sports, wellness, and friendship. What distinguishes CAACF is its long-standing presence and the genuine relationships it has cultivated across generations of families in the Orlando area. The organization has consistently adapted to serve evolving community needs while remaining true to its foundational values. Led by passionate volunteers and board members who give their time and expertise, CAACF continues to provide safe, welcoming spaces where people can learn, celebrate, and connect through Chinese language and cultural traditions. For over fifty years, CAACF has been more than an organization—it has been a community home for those seeking to honor their heritage and build meaningful connections in Central Florida.
