Chinese American Community Center

Since 1982, the Chinese American Community Center has been a cornerstone of cultural identity and community connection for Chinese Americans and their families throughout the Greater Wilmington area, including Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania, and southern New Jersey. Based in Hockessin, Delaware, CACC was established by dedicated Chinese Americans who envisioned a space where cultural heritage could be celebrated, preserved, and shared across generations. As a non-profit, independent organization affiliated with the United Way of Delaware, CACC remains committed to its founding mission: promoting genuine integration and mutual understanding between Chinese and American cultures. The center serves as more than just a meeting space—it's a gathering place where community members forge meaningful relationships, celebrate traditions, and build bridges across cultural lines. CACC recognizes that cultural exchange is a two-way process, encouraging both Chinese Americans to maintain connections to their heritage and the broader community to develop appreciation for Chinese culture. By hosting community events, cultural celebrations, and educational programs throughout the year, CACC creates opportunities for families to connect, learn together, and contribute to their local communities. The organization's commitment to being inclusive, non-sectarian, and non-partisan reflects its belief that cultural community belongs to everyone. For residents of Hockessin and the surrounding region seeking authentic cultural experiences, language learning, or simply a welcoming community of shared values, CACC represents a vital institution dedicated to fostering understanding, celebrating diversity, and strengthening the social fabric of Delaware.
