About CAFF & CATF
Founded in 2004, the Chinese American Film Festival (CAFF) and Chinese American TV Festival (CATF) celebrate the creative exchange between the Chinese and American film and television industries. Over the years, the festivals have grown into an annual industry gathering recognized by film and television studios and industry associations in both countries.
Each year, CAFF & CATF bring together distinguished filmmakers, entertainment executives, and industry professionals for the Opening Ceremony and Golden Angel Awards in Hollywood, alongside industry discussions and film screenings throughout November.
The 2026 festival theme, “A Bridge of Screens, A World of Light,” celebrates the enduring passion, perseverance, and creativity that unite filmmakers across cultures and borders.

The annual Chinese American Film Festival and Chinese American TV Festival is an industry event that celebrates the cultural significance and impact of Chinese and American films and TV shows every November in various venues in Los Angeles. Entering into its 20th year, CAFF & CATF will be held between Nov. 8 - Nov. 30 in various venues across Los Angeles. The theme of this year is “Forever Love, Forever Film” as we believe that filmmakers’ persistence and love for films will never change. Founded by EDI Media Inc., CAFF & CATF are jointly supported by the Information Office of the State Council of China, the China Film Administration, the State Administration of Radio and Television of China, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles County. It is an annual Sino-American film and television industry event officially recognized by mainstream film and television institutions and associations in China and the United States. Every November, the Chinese American Film Festival and the Chinese American TV Festival hold a grand Opening Ceremony and the “Golden Angel” Award Ceremony in Hollywood, the entertainment capital of the world. Los Angeles County and the city of Los Angeles named November and the Opening Day of the Chinese American Film Festival and Chinese American TV Festival as “Chinese American Film Festival and Chinese American TV Festival Month” and “Chinese American Film Festival and Chinese American TV Festival” respectively. The CAFF & CATF Summit and Showcase on Nov. 9 brings dozens of the top professionals in the industry together to communicate and exchange knowledge and insights. This event is open to the public; in-person seating is limited. Registration for the Summit and Showcase is open and will be available until the event date.
