Since its founding in 1981, the Chinese Association of Greater Kalamazoo has grown from a professional network into a vibrant, inclusive community organization serving the Portage, MI area and beyond. As a nonpolitical, nonreligious 501(c)(3) nonprofit, CAGK has cultivated a welcoming environment where membership extends far beyond people with Chinese heritage—embracing anyone who shares the organization's mission of promoting cultural awareness and eliminating racism. What began as an organization for professionals in the Greater Kalamazoo area has evolved into a global community, with members now residing across the United States and around the world.
