Since its founding in 1974, the Coalition of Labor Union Women has stood as America's only national organization exclusively dedicated to union women, and the Southwestern PA chapter continues this legacy of solidarity and empowerment in Pittsburgh and surrounding communities. Built on four foundational objectives—increasing women's participation at all levels of the labor movement, organizing the unorganized, advancing affirmative action and social justice, and expanding women's political engagement—CLUW brings together union women united by common purpose and shared values.
