About Conexion Americas
Founded in 2002 to address demographic changes and emerging opportunities in Middle Tennessee, Conexión Américas has grown into a vital bridge-building organization serving the Nashville community. The organization's name itself reflects its core mission: to connect and foster understanding between Latino and native-born residents, creating pathways for mutual respect, collaboration, and shared prosperity. For over two decades, Conexión Américas has been guided by a simple but powerful vision—that Latino families in Nashville should belong, contribute, and succeed. This commitment manifests through deeply personal, community-centered work that recognizes each family's unique journey and potential. The organization understands that integration into a new community involves far more than language acquisition; it requires access to networks, knowledge of local systems, and genuine welcome from neighbors and institutions. By serving as a trusted intermediary and advocate, Conexión Américas empowers families to navigate their new home with confidence and dignity. The organization's work extends beyond individual services to encompass broader community development and advocacy efforts that strengthen Nashville's social fabric. Operating from Casa Azafrán in Nashville's International District alongside nine partner organizations, Conexión Américas demonstrates the power of collaborative, culturally responsive community work. Recognized as a UnidosUS Affiliate of the Year, the organization continues to honor the resilience and contributions of Latino families while building a more inclusive and equitable Nashville for all residents.
