About Consulate General of Spain in San Juan de Puerto Rico
The Consulate General of Spain in San Juan de Puerto Rico covers the demarcations of the Islands of Puerto Rico, Vieques, Culebra and the US Virgin Islands.
It carries out, on the one hand, assistance tasks for Spaniards who are in its territory, registration of nationality (passports, family books, etc.) as well as notarial (powers of attorney), judicial (registration of births, marriages, deaths), or assistance itself (aid).
On the other, and reporting to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Washington, it represents the Spanish State in this special area of the United States. This implies from the coordination of official Spanish activities of various kinds, to the issuance of visas to US citizens and other nationalities residing in this demarcation who require it.
The Consulate also provides information about Spain (tourism, culture, scholarships, etc.)
