Founded in Pittsburgh, PA in 1894, the Croatian Fraternal Union of America represents over a century of dedicated service to the Croatian community and their families. What began as a mutual benefit society organized by Zdravko V. Mužina has grown into a thriving national fraternal organization with approximately 50,000 members worldwide and assets approaching $512 million. The CFU's history is deeply intertwined with the Croatian-American experience in North America, evolving from its humble beginnings in Allegheny City to become a pillar of cultural preservation and community support in Pittsburgh.
