Dallas Asian American Bar Association
About Dallas Asian American Bar Association
Based in Dallas, TX, the Dallas Asian American Bar Association represents a vibrant community of legal professionals committed to mentorship, networking, and meaningful community service. Established in 1988, DAABA has evolved from a small group of 15 founding attorneys into a thriving 350+ member organization that champions the professional advancement and well-being of Asian American Pacific Islander legal professionals throughout the DFW region.
At its heart, DAABA's mission focuses on promoting the AAPI legal community through three interconnected pillars: mentorship programs designed to nurture both law students and practicing attorneys, robust networking opportunities that foster lasting professional relationships, and active community service that extends the organization's positive impact beyond the legal profession. Members gather at cultural events, happy hours, and collaborative initiatives that celebrate their shared heritage while advancing their careers.
The association's growth reflects the increasing prominence of Asian American attorneys in Dallas's legal landscape. DAABA maintains collaborative relationships with the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, the J.L. Turner Bar Association, and the Dallas Women Lawyers Association, working together as part of the Dallas Bar Association's minority organization network. Through these partnerships and its affiliation with the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, DAABA ensures that its members—many of whom are recognized as outstanding attorneys and public servants—have access to resources, support, and opportunities that strengthen both individual careers and the broader legal community in Dallas, Texas.
