Founded in November 1962 by 16 enterprising mothers, the Des Moines Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated represents over six decades of dedicated service to the Des Moines, IA community. Known as the Small but Mighty chapter, this organization was established as the 104th chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., with the induction ceremony presided over by Mrs. Margaret Emory Simms, the 7th National President. From its inception, the chapter's early mother members worked tirelessly to build a strong community presence through effective programming and servant leadership, establishing traditions of outreach and support that continue today. The Des Moines Chapter remains deeply committed to making a lasting, positive impact on children's lives and the broader community by exemplifying the mission and vision of Jack and Jill of America in everyday work.
