Edge New Jersey
About Edge New Jersey
Founded in 1992 as the AIDS Residence Coalition of Morris County, EDGE New Jersey has evolved into a vital community organization serving the Denville, NJ area and beyond. What began as a mission to provide safe housing and supportive services for people affected by HIV has grown into a comprehensive organization dedicated to dismantling discrimination and promoting healthcare equity. The organization's name—EDGE, standing for End Discrimination. Gain Equality—reflects its commitment to amplifying the voices of underserved populations and celebrating diversity. Over three decades, EDGE New Jersey has supported hundreds of individuals through transformative services, with clients reporting life-changing outcomes including stable housing, access to gender-affirming care, mental health support, and the strength to rebuild their lives. The organization's impact extends beyond individual services; it fosters meaningful relationships and community connection that help people understand they are not alone. EDGE New Jersey's approach is rooted in compassion and responsibility, recognizing that healthcare inequities and societal stigma disproportionately impact marginalized communities. Today, headquartered in Parsippany and serving throughout New Jersey, EDGE New Jersey continues its legacy of providing no-cost counseling, housing opportunities, prevention strategies, and education. The organization empowers individuals to achieve healthy, self-sufficient lives while gaining the resources to positively influence their communities.
