Since its official inauguration in 2002, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United States of America has been dedicated to strengthening bilateral relations and serving communities in Washington, DC and throughout the nation. The Embassy opened its doors to work in full capacity, creating a bridge between Tajikistan and the United States through diplomatic engagement and cultural exchange. Housed in the historic Schneider Triangle, a remarkable collection of twenty-two Richardsonian Romanesque and Queen Anne Style residences originally designed and built by Thomas Franklin Schneider in 1889, the Embassy occupies a building rich with American heritage. This architectural landmark, recognized as part of the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites in 1978 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, provides a dignified setting for the Embassy's mission. The Embassy's Consular Section shares the same building, providing essential support and services to Tajik citizens living in the United States as well as American citizens seeking assistance.
