About Engineering Explorers Summer Camp 2026
Get ready to dive into cool engineering projects and make new friends this summer at a fun hands-on camp!
Join the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) – Chicago Professionals Chapter for our Engineering Explorers Summer Camp! This week-long program provides students with a hands-on introduction to engineering through interactive, project-based learning. Participants will work in teams to design, build, test, and refine projects while being guided by STEM professionals and volunteers.
Designed for 3rd–8th grade students, the camp runs daily from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with lunch provided. The week will conclude with a final showcase where students present their projects. Space is limited—register today!

The National Society of Black Engineers - Chicago Professionals was founded in 1989 to fulfill the NSBE mission "to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community" in the Greater Chicago area. We have graduated and work in the technical professional industry. We endeavor to spark and sustain children's and young adult interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and transform the NSBE Professionals into the premier technical professional organization of choice. This year we are focused on Exposing K-12 students to STEM-related activities and fields Assisting our collegiate members with career readiness Building partnerships with local colleges and universities to mentor college students thru graduation Increasing the professional skill set of our members Graduating 500 students/year in engineering consistently by 2025 NSBE Chicago Professionals is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
