Since its founding in 1999, the Fayette County Area Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. has been a cornerstone of family empowerment and youth development in Fayetteville, Georgia and the surrounding region. Born from the vision of founding organizers Tonya Cureton Curry and Veronica Pearson Curry, this chapter emerged from a commitment to unite African American mothers with shared values and ideals. What began with 18 dedicated founding members has grown into a thriving community organization serving families across Coweta and Fayette Counties. The chapter's mission reflects Jack & Jill of America's broader vision: a membership organization of mothers dedicated to nurturing future leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty. The Fayette County Area Chapter celebrates its heritage as a Charter Chapter while maintaining its focus on creating meaningful social and cultural experiences for families. Over two decades of continuous service demonstrates the organization's deep commitment to the communities it serves, from Fayetteville to Newnan, Peachtree City, Sharpsburg, and Tyrone. The chapter's history of leadership—guided by successive presidents and dedicated advisors—reflects the enduring values of excellence, community service, and child development.
