FREE’them of Expression is a bold, community-led showcase that fuses fashion, dance, theater, and visual art to confront oppressive policies

FREE’them of Expression is a bold, community-led showcase that fuses fashion, dance, theater, and visual art to confront oppressive policies and uplift the voices of those most impacted by systemic violence. Designed as both a cultural celebration and a rapid-response platform, the next 5-month will be an artist-led ecosystem mobilizes creative resistance against the political climate targeting Black, trans, disabled, migrant, and poor communities



Through pop-up performances, workshops, artistic protests, and public installations, FREE’them of Expression’z becomes a living archive of liberation, joy, and unapologetic truth-telling.



Rooted in collective healing and grassroots organizing, this showcase activates local talent to not only showcase their brilliance but to wield art as armor, protest, and policy intervention.

The McKenzie Project, Inc stands as a pioneering Black trans-led organization in South Florida and Stone Moutain, GA, uniquely positioned as the sole Black Trans-led entity in Miami-Dade County. Our duty is to uplift individuals aged 14 and above within the Black TGNCNB+ community, with a special emphasis on addressing factors that can lead to homelessness, separation from families, those engaging in sex work and lack of access to education for young people. We use creative arts-based advocacy to promote HIV awareness and offer entrepreneurship studies to address economic disparities. MISSION: Is to thrive through living, learning, and actively contributing to the creation of inclusive communities. We focus on centering spaces for Black high impacted individuals, fostering entrepreneurship, and driving innovation to achieve self-sufficiency and prosperity.​ VISION: Is to eliminate obstacles to joy and liberation for Black TGNCNB+ individuals in South Florida. We aim to enhance economic conditions while actively working to eradicate homelessness, diminish reliance on survival sex work, and combat the HIV epidemic in the region.
