About godguys. The Stage Play ATL

godguys. The Stage Play is an international production that tackles mental health in Black men through the journeys of six Black men.

goguys. The Stage Play returns to 7 Stages Theatre where it all began in 2022.
Now, an intentionally recognized production, godguys. The Stage Play highlights the relationships between six successful Black men and their journeys to mental wellness.
godguys. The Stage Play follows six Black men (five godbrothers and their godfather) who have formed a family-like bond over the years. Led by "Pops", their mentor from a community center where they grew up together, they gather regularly to bond over good food and good conversation. In the blink of an eye... a slip of the tongue... the lingering, unresloved pains of their childhood resurface, revealing the strengthy and vulnerability of their brotherhood.
This production is a powerful story exploring courageous conversations about traumas such as abuse, abandonment, addiction, and other issues that affect well-being topics that are often silenced.
The Cast: Kevin Brown as Pops; Troy Bland as Bobby; Kori Poe as Donte'; Christopher Martin as Julius; Daniel L'M Tate as Myles; and James Thompson as Rico.
Writer/Director: nA' Stubbs
Producers: nA' Stubbs of uNiqu' Arts and C. Nathaniel Brown of Expected End Entertainment
