Greater Binghamton Unico

Based in Sayre, PA, Greater Binghamton Unico represents a unique approach to community service rooted in Italian American heritage and values. The chapter traces its mission back to UNICO National's founding principle that community service should transcend personal interests and fraternal bonds. What makes Greater Binghamton Unico distinctive is its unwavering commitment to being "one of a kind"—an organization where members understand that meaningful change requires sacrifice and dedication to serving others rather than pursuing personal gain.

The organization brings together Italian Americans in the Sayre community who share a passion for strengthening their neighborhoods through charitable work, cultural preservation, and community support. Greater Binghamton Unico members embody the five pillars represented by the UNICO acronym: Unity in purpose, Neighborliness in spirit, Integrity in action, Charity in giving, and Opportunity for growth. This chapter of UNICO National honors Italian heritage while actively contributing to the social fabric of the Sayre area through educational initiatives, charitable projects, and cultural events. By fostering deep connections among members and with the broader community, Greater Binghamton Unico creates an environment where Italian American traditions of compassion, civic responsibility, and collective action flourish. The organization welcomes Italian Americans and others who believe in the power of community service to transform lives and strengthen neighborhoods.
