Hellenic Link–Midwest
About Hellenic Link–Midwest
Founded in 1985 in Park Ridge, Illinois, Hellenic Link–Midwest emerged from a vision to create a meaningful bridge between Hellenes and Philhellenes through shared cultural, scientific, social, and philanthropic endeavors. Originally established as the KRIKOS Midwest Chapter by four dedicated founders, the organization evolved into an independent 501(c)(3) entity in 1998, reflecting its growing influence and commitment to serving the broader community. What distinguishes Hellenic Link–Midwest is its unwavering dedication to diversity and inclusivity within the Hellenic-American professional community. The organization recognizes that cultural enrichment and professional growth are interconnected, offering members opportunities to engage with prominent intellectuals, scholars, and thought leaders while celebrating their shared heritage. Beyond lectures and symposia, Hellenic Link–Midwest invests in the future through its scholarship program, supporting young Greek-Americans as they pursue higher education and professional aspirations. The organization's involvement extends into meaningful community partnerships, actively supporting institutions like the Hellenic Museum and the Greek-American Nursing Home. For nearly four decades, Hellenic Link–Midwest has remained steadfast in its mission to inform, inspire, and empower the Hellenic-American community in the Chicagoland area, creating lasting connections that honor both intellectual achievement and cultural pride.
