About Hispanic American Professional & Business Women

Founded in 1997 by Hispanic professional and businesswomen who migrated to Central Florida from around the world, HAPBWA represents a powerful community of support and mutual advancement. The organization was born from the experiences of women who faced barriers in work environments not yet sensitive to diverse populations, and who envisioned a space where Hispanic women could share their experiences and collaborate on strategies for professional growth. Today, HAPBWA serves as a haven for thousands of Hispanic professionals and businesswomen in the Orlando area, with founding members still actively involved, serving as mentors and guides to new generations of Hispanic women entrepreneurs and professionals. The organization's mission centers on showcasing and increasing leadership and management capabilities through mentorship programs, higher education, and professional development initiatives that benefit both members and female students throughout the community. HAPBWA Foundation extends this commitment by supporting the educational advancement of women of all ages, fostering professional development through bilingual programming that honors the cultural heritage of its members. More than just a professional association, HAPBWA creates a unified front where women build meaningful relationships, support one another through career transitions, and collectively advocate for women's advancement in business and professional fields across Orlando, FL and Central Florida.
