Founded in 1986 by Latina visionaries who recognized the need for a statewide leadership organization, the Hispanic Women's Network of Texas (HWNT) has grown into a dynamic community of women committed to celebrating Hispanic heritage while advancing women's roles in society. Based in Austin, Texas, HWNT operates as a network of ten chapters uniting women from diverse backgrounds across the state who share a common mission: to empower Hispanic women and elevate their participation in public, corporate, and civic arenas.
