Founded as a chartered member of the House of Pacific Relations in 1992, House of Iran has grown into the most active venue outside Iran's borders for showcasing authentic Persian culture and heritage. The organization's beautiful cottage, which opened to the public in October 2003, was built through the generous donations and volunteer efforts of the San Diego Iranian-American community and stands as a gift to the City of San Diego. This unique cultural institution was created with the vision of introducing and promoting the rich and diverse heritage of Iranian civilization to people of all nationalities and ethnic backgrounds.
