About Hungarian American Club of S.W. Florida
Founded in November 2000, the Hungarian American Club of S.W. Florida has become a vibrant cultural hub for residents of Naples and the surrounding region. What began as a small gathering of 58 members has flourished into a thriving community of nearly 250 people dedicated to preserving and promoting Hungarian heritage. The club's mission centers on celebrating Hungarian culture through authentic experiences—from traditional dinner-dances and live performances to educational presentations and community fundraisers. Members represent a diverse mix of longtime Naples residents and visitors from across the country, united by their appreciation for Hungarian art, music, dance, literature, history, language, and cuisine. Throughout each season, the club transforms various venues across Collier and Lee counties into gathering spaces where people can connect with their roots and share cultural traditions. Beyond social enjoyment, the Hungarian American Club demonstrates its values through charitable fundraising efforts supporting communities in Hungary and Transylvania. The organization is governed by dedicated volunteer leaders elected annually by the membership, ensuring that the club remains responsive to its community's needs and interests. For those seeking meaningful cultural connection, community involvement, or simply an opportunity to experience authentic Hungarian traditions in Naples, FL, the Hungarian American Club offers a welcoming environment where heritage comes alive and friendships flourish.
