Idaho Women Lawyers was established in 1986 by visionary attorneys in Boise, ID who recognized the need to improve the legal profession for women lawyers by creating opportunities for collective action and mutual support. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a vibrant community of over 350 members representing diverse legal backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives across Idaho. IWL is more than a professional organization—it is a place where legal professionals connect, grow, and learn together, celebrating the achievements of women who have broken through barriers and blazed new trails in the legal field.
The organization's core mission centers on advancing diversity and promoting equal rights and opportunities for women in the legal profession. IWL members are united by shared values of boldness, innovation, and commitment to making a difference in their communities, whether through advocating for justice, protecting the rights of others, or giving voice to those who lack representation.
