About IndUS of Fox Valley
IndUS of Fox Valley emerged from the Fox Valley India Association's successful IndUS-99 celebration, evolving into a distinct nonprofit organization when community leaders recognized the need to strengthen cultural connections within the broader Appleton, Wisconsin area. Formally established through a charter meeting on March 2, 2001, and incorporated under Wisconsin law with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, IndUS of Fox Valley has grown into a vital cultural and community organization serving the Fox Valley region for over two decades.
The organization is built on a foundation of diversity, harmony, and unwavering commitment to eliminating discrimination in all its forms—whether based on race, nationality, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or military status. Beyond cultural celebration, IndUS of Fox Valley actively invests in community welfare through multiple channels: the Seva program delivers meals to vulnerable populations, educational scholarships support students pursuing higher education, and disaster relief efforts respond to community needs. The organization publishes Sandesh, a meaningful newsletter and journal that has grown to feature contributions from authors in both India and the United States exploring topics ranging from architecture and healthcare to poetry, arts, and music. Through education and outreach programs extending throughout Northeast Wisconsin, IndUS creates meaningful intercultural dialogue at schools, libraries, and community events. Guided by a dedicated board of directors and volunteer base representing diverse backgrounds, IndUS of Fox Valley continues its mission of promoting Indo-American friendship while enriching the cultural landscape of the Appleton community and surrounding areas.
