About Iranian American Bar Association
Since its establishment in 2000 in Washington, DC, the Iranian American Bar Association has grown from four founding members into a thriving national community of over 1,500 legal professionals. IABA's mission centers on three core pillars: educating the Iranian-American community about legal issues of importance, protecting and advancing the legal rights of Iranian Americans and other minorities, and celebrating the professional achievements of Iranian-American legal professionals. What distinguishes IABA is its commitment to building a connected, diverse legal community where judges, attorneys, law students, and legal scholars collaborate and mentor one another. The organization has become a trusted voice in meetings with elected officials and has been at the forefront of protecting minority rights in both courtrooms and policy discussions. Through its mentorship programs, networking events, and scholarship initiatives, IABA creates pathways for emerging legal talent while supporting established professionals. The organization's eight chapters spanning Los Angeles, New York, Northern California, Orange County, Phoenix, San Diego, the Southeast, and Washington, DC reflect its nationwide reach and influence.
