Iranian Cultural Society of Calgary
About Iranian Cultural Society of Calgary
Since 1991, the Iranian Cultural Society of Calgary has been a cornerstone of community connection for Iranian-Canadians throughout Calgary, AB. Founded as an Alberta Society, ICSC operates as an independent volunteer organization dedicated to building a healthy, supportive, and vibrant Iranian community while respecting the diverse beliefs, traditions, and preferences of all members. The organization's foundation rests on core values including mutual trust, accountability, transparency, and a commitment to teamwork and volunteerism.
ICCS envisions becoming the most prominent and influential cultural and social institution in Calgary's Iranian community, serving not only residents but contributing to the broader Canadian cultural landscape. The organization accomplishes this through its mission to preserve and promote positive attributes of Iranian culture, establish a dynamic platform for community members to develop their potential, and collaborate with individuals and institutions that share its vision. By fostering a culture of participation, philanthropy, and civic engagement, ICSC creates meaningful opportunities for community members to connect, learn, and grow together.
The organization welcomes all who wish to be part of its journey—whether through membership, volunteering expertise and time, making donations, or simply staying informed through its newsletter. ICSC's open-door policy and commitment to continuous improvement ensure that the organization remains responsive to community needs while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability. For three decades, ICSC has been more than an organization; it has been a gathering place where Iranian culture thrives and community bonds strengthen in Calgary.
