Irish American Alliance
About Irish American Alliance
Rooted in Hickory Hills, Illinois, the Irish American Alliance has been a cornerstone of Irish American community life since 1990, serving families and individuals from across the Chicago area and South Suburbs who want to celebrate their heritage and build meaningful connections. With nearly three hundred active members, this non-profit social club creates a welcoming environment where Irish Americans can gather, celebrate traditions, and support one another through a rich variety of social and cultural experiences. The organization's commitment extends beyond social gatherings—through its affiliated Charitable Corporation, the Alliance has consistently given back to the community, with members actively involved in charitable activities and working toward the establishment of an Irish American Retirement Home as a lasting legacy for future generations. What sets the Alliance apart is its genuine openness to member input and new ideas. The organization actively welcomes fresh perspectives on events, gaming activities, theater outings, and charitable initiatives, believing that member engagement strengthens the entire community. Regular quarterly newsletters keep members informed and connected, while monthly leadership meetings ensure the organization remains responsive to member needs. Whether attending the beloved annual picnic and golf outing, cheering at the Halfway to St. Patrick's Day White Sox game, or enjoying cultural lectures and Irish Fest trips, members find a true sense of belonging. The Irish American Alliance represents more than just a club—it's a vibrant community dedicated to preserving Irish heritage while fostering friendships and supporting one another in the Hickory Hills area and throughout the greater Chicago region.
