About Japan America Society of Greater Cincinnati
Since 1988, the Japan America Society of Greater Cincinnati has been building bridges between Japan and the Greater Cincinnati, OH region, serving thousands of local residents over more than three decades of dedicated service. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, JASGC exists to promote deeper understanding and lasting cultural awareness between the people of Japan and the residents of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The society believes that meaningful relationships between Japan and the United States thrive when built on understanding, cultural appreciation, and genuine shared experiences.

Members gain access to an inclusive community that values diversity and mutual learning, along with exclusive benefits including discounted tickets to cultural events, networking opportunities, and a member directory connecting individuals who share a commitment to Japanese-American relations.
From intimate cultural immersions like traditional tea ceremonies to community celebrations such as the annual Gala and Bonenkai, JASGC creates spaces where people connect authentically. The society's commitment to the Cincinnati community extends to school presentations, outreach programs, and educational workshops designed to lay the groundwork for respect and friendship between our two nations.
