About Juneteenth at the Spellman 2026
Celebrating Juneteenth on June 20th at the Spellman Amphitheater at Forney Community Park!
The City of Forney proudly presents Juneteenth at the Spellman in partnership with the Xi Delta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Join us on June 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Spellman Amphitheater for an evening of community, culture, and celebration.
This free, family-friendly event will feature live music, cultural performances, engaging speakers, local vendors, and great food. Juneteenth at the Spellman also supports educational advancement by raising scholarship funds for students in our community.

Our chapter was established in Forney, Texas in 2023 to serve cities within Kaufman & Rockwall counties. The Xi Delta Sigma Chapter aligns all of its programming and outreach around the sorority’s platform, "Intentional, Impactful, Measurable – A Sisterhood for the Future." We are committed to forging partnerships with city officials, organizations, and residents, striving to implement and execute programs that uplift and enhance our community. Xi Delta Sigma is grateful for our partners and supporters and look forward to connecting with you and sharing additional information about our events and programs. The mission of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is to enhance the quality of life for women and their families in the U.S. and globally through community service, civil, and social action. Our goal is to achieve greater progress in the areas of education, health awareness, and leadership development. Our members, affiliates, staff, and community partners work to create and support initiatives that align with our vision. We visualize a world in which all women and their families reach their full potential in all aspects of life and are able to create unlimited opportunities for future generations. On November 12, 2022, the sisterhood commemorated 100 years of sisterhood, scholarship, and service.
