Since its founding in August 2012, the Korean American Bar Association of Georgia has grown into a vibrant community of legal professionals based in Duluth, GA, dedicated to elevating the visibility and professional development of Korean American attorneys and law students throughout Georgia. What began as a vision shared by five founding members—including partners from major Atlanta law firms—has blossomed into a welcoming organization with nearly 200 members representing diverse practice settings and career stages. KABA-GA was created to address a genuine need within Georgia's legal community: providing mentorship, support, and connection for young Korean American lawyers and law students who sought guidance and community among peers. The organization prides itself on being the friendliest bar association in Georgia, fostering an inclusive environment where professionals of all backgrounds can connect, grow, and make meaningful contributions. Beyond professional development, KABA-GA actively serves the broader community through initiatives like the National AAPI Violence Prevention Response Initiative, demonstrating a commitment to social justice and community advocacy. Members benefit from language resources, Korean legal research materials, and connections to other Georgia bar associations and KABA chapters nationwide. The organization's volunteer-driven structure and member-focused approach reflect its core values of collaboration, mutual support, and professional excellence.
