About Korean American Bar Association of San Diego
Founded in August 2007, the Korean American Bar Association of San Diego (KABA-SD) represents a cornerstone organization for Korean-American legal professionals and students in the greater San Diego region. The association was established with a clear mission: to create meaningful opportunities for networking and professional growth while simultaneously serving the broader Korean-American community through legal, educational, political, and charitable endeavors. KABA-SD embodies the values of cultural heritage preservation and professional excellence, bringing together like-minded individuals dedicated to advancing Korean Americans within the legal profession.
At its heart, KABA-SD is a community-driven organization that celebrates the intersection of legal expertise and cultural identity. The organization hosts a diverse array of events—from informational workshops and mentoring programs to fundraisers and social gatherings—that strengthen bonds among members while supporting important causes. What distinguishes KABA-SD is its commitment to working collaboratively with minority and community organizations on matters of mutual concern, demonstrating a genuine investment in San Diego's broader social landscape.
The association welcomes all who share its vision, regardless of background or legal status. Whether you're an established attorney, a law student beginning your career, or a community member interested in supporting Korean-American advancement in the legal field, KABA-SD offers a welcoming space to connect, learn, and contribute. Through its multifaceted approach to professional development and community service, KABA-SD continues to strengthen both individual careers and the San Diego community as a whole.
