About Korean Canadian Business Association

Founded in 2001 as the North York Korean Prosperity Association by Korean small business owners in North York, ON, the Korean Canadian Business Association (KCBA) has grown into a vital community organization representing the interests and aspirations of Korean Canadians throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The organization's journey reflects a deep commitment to preserving and celebrating Korean culture while supporting economic empowerment within the community. Originally operating under the name North Toronto Prosperity Association for 15 years, KCBA formally adopted its current name in 2022, signifying its expanded regional influence and mission. At its core, KCBA is driven by three fundamental objectives: creating alliances amongst the growing population of Korean Canadian business owners and individuals, helping members integrate successfully within Canadian culture and society, and promoting diversity by connecting the Korean community with other ethnic groups. The organization celebrates its heritage through the Toronto Korean Festival, a major cultural event featuring traditional music, dance, and authentic Korean cuisine. Led by dedicated executive members and directors actively involved in various business activities across the GTA, KCBA embodies the spirit of community collaboration and mutual support. Whether through business seminars, cultural celebrations, or networking opportunities, the association demonstrates a genuine belief in the power of community and collaboration to support both business growth and cultural preservation in North York and beyond.
